and that's the way we likes it.

Volcan Arenal

This here's the volcano we visited a while back. From town, you can look down the main street and see the volcano at the end, kinda like Banff Ave and Cascade, except this mountain is smoking 24 hrs a day. We rented a car with a few other people and drove around to the back side of the volcano where, at night, you can see MAGMA flowing down the sides.

Still here in Paradise

We're still in Playa Samara, 'cause how and why would we ever leave, EVER?
We have a house in which to live, free of charge, and an excellent "frequent surfer" rate on board rentals. I have gone from a 10' board (only for an hour) to a 7'4" today, gradually, of course. There's not much else going on here. We're still debating where to go next. Vero just read a book about 12 year old kids being paid hit men in Medelllin, Colombia, so Chile is looking better and better.
A guy we met here (an American, but a nice guy nonetheless) just bought one of the small hotels here in town, and asked us if we want to manage the place for a couple of months while he goes back to the states to try and persuade his wife to move here with him. The only problem is that the job wouldn't start until January, which is longer than we intend to stay in CR. Who knows, who knows.
Steve (not Dad) we probably won't be here when you get here, but like I said, who knows. We'll keep you posted.
Maybe some pictures soon...
